Error Codes List page 15

  • Code: 100067
  • Description: FB PID lock detection
    • When rotated in the opposite direction to rotation direction (There was a sudden load error, and the SCN motor rotated in the opposite direction in reaction to it)
    • State in which load of the SCN motor exceeds expected load, and motor does not rotate at all
    • State in which load of the SCN Motor exceeds expected load
  • Causes: • FFC disconnection insertion failure in ADF/SCN
    • Main Board failure
    • SCN Encoder failure
    • SCN Scale is dirty or damaged.
    • SCN Motor failure
  • Remedy: 1 Visually check the FFCs of the ADF/SCN Unit. Check the FFCs (x2) in ADF/SCN to make sure that it is not inserted obliquely or disconnected.
Y: Go to step 2 • Correctly insert the two FFCs.
N: • If FFC is damaged, replace the ADF/SCN Unit. (Replace the unit even if one of the two FFCs is damaged.)
2 Replace the ADF/SCN Unit. Does the error occur after replacing the ADF/SCN Unit?
    Y: Go to step 3
    N: End
3 Replace the Main Board Assy. Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board Assy?
Y: Contact the EPSON Service Department.
    N: End

  • Code: 100070
  • Description: FB PID driving time
The driving time of the SCN Motor exceeded the set time.
  • Causes: • FW failure
    • FFC disconnection in ADF/SCN
    • Main Board failure
  • Remedy: 1 Check for the firmware. Check whether or not the firmware is the latest version.
    Y: Go to step 2
    N: Update the firmware.
2 Visually check the FFCs of the ADF/SCN Unit. Check the FFCs (x2) in ADF/SCN to make sure that it is not inserted obliquely or disconnected.
    Y: Go to step 3
N: • Correctly insert the two FFCs. • If FFC is damaged, replace the ADF/SCN Unit. (Replace the unit even if one of the two FFCs is damaged.)

4 Replace the Main Board Assy. Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board Assy?
Y: Contact the EPSON Service Department.
    N: End
  • Code: 100073
  • Description: FB BS+ excess speed detection (flatbed)
State in which driven at unexpected speed (PID: fast, BS: slow) for control.
  • Causes: • FFC disconnection insertion failure in ADF/SCN
    • Mechanical load error (light)
    • Main Board failure
    • SCN Encoder failure
