Troubleshooting. Image Quality. IQ04 Image Shift in Process Direction RAP
This RAP troubleshoots for corrupt LPH EEPROM data that results in an image shift in the process direction.
Initial Actions
Check the EEPROM data.
- Access UI Diagnostics (UI Diagnostic (CSE) Mode).
- Select the Diagnostics tab.
- Select LPH EEPROM Self Test (dC304 ).

1 | The EEPROM data is OK. | 2 | Replace the LPH Assembly for the affected color (REP 9.10). |
2 | Check power to LPH from MD PWB. There is +5v at P/J532. | 9 | 3 |
3 | Check power to MD PWB from MCU PWB. There is +5v at P/J452. | 8 | 4 |
4 | Check power to MCU PWB from +5VDC LVPS. There is +5v at P/J401. | 7 | |
5 | Check power from +5VDC LVPS. There is +5v at P/J510 | 6 | Go to +5VDC Power RAP. |
6 | Check wire harness between the LVPS and MCU PWB for damage. Repair or replace as required (REP 9.11). | ||
7 | Check the F6 2A fuse located on the MCU PWB. If check is ok. Replace the MCU PWB (REP 1.4). If check reveals blown F6 2A fuse. Replace the fuse. | ||
8 | Replace the MD PWB (REP 1.5). | ||
9 | Go to IQ45. |
