1 | Check for dirt on the Platen Glass. The Platen Glass is clean. | 2 | Clean the Platen Glass. If there is a stubborn stain, replace the Platen Glass. |
2 | Check the drum ground contact point for dirt and distortion. The drum ground contact point is clean and there is no distortion. | 3 | Clean the drum ground contact point and correct the distortion. |
3 | Remove the Xero/Developer Cartridge (PL 4.1) and reinstall. Turn the power Off/On and print. The problem reoccurs. | 4 | End |
4 | Install a new Xero/Developer Cartridge (PL 4.1). Turn the power Off/On and print. The problem reoccurs. | 5 | End |
5 | Set to print a black copy. During the print cycle, turn off the power after the feeding sound is heard (i.e. terminate processing midway through copying). Check the surface of the drum. There is a considerable amount of toner left on the surface of the drum. | 6 | Replace the MCU PWB (PL 9.1). If the problem persists, replace the ESS PWB (PL 9.2). |
