Maintenance Mode. Self-diagnostic mode. Level 1
Entering self-diagnostic mode (level 1)
Note:
Entering the System Maintenance mode requires a password.
- By turning on the printer while holding down ▲ and ▼ in combination, enter the System Maintenance mode.
- Press ▲ or ▼ more than one time until ENGINE DIAG MODE appears. Then press the OK button, and DIAGNOSTIC MODE appears.
- XX.XX.XX on the LCD display identifies the version of the PU firmware. The setting for FACTORY WORKING MODE is provided in the right portion of the lower display. The setting is normally S-MODE, which identifies Shipping.
- Press ▲ or ▼ to go to each self-diagnostic step (pressing ▲ or ▼ displays the next or preceding menu option).
Exiting self-diagnostic mode
1. Turn off the printer and, after 10 seconds, turn it on.
The following is the normal self-diagnostic mode menu:

6 | Consumable counter display | CONSUMABLE STATUS | Displays consumable usage. |
7 | Consumable life counter display | PRINTER STATUS | Displays consumable life. |
8 | Factory/Shipping mode setting | FACTORY MODE SET | Switches between the Factory and Shipping modes |
9 | Fuse status display | FACTORY MODE SET | Displays the status of the fuses. |
10 | Engine parameter setting | SENSOR SETTING | Sets whether to enable or disable error detection performed by each sensor. |
11 | NVRAM parameter setting | NVRAM PARAMETER | Must not be used. |
