In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened /closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at manual bypass feed section. |
| Tray 1 feed section |
Tray 1 paper feed sensor (PS23) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened /closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at tray 1 feed section. |
| Tray 2 feed section |
Tray 2 vertical transport sensor (PS19) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| Tray 2 paper feed sensor (PS20) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened /closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at tray 2 feed section. |

Tray 3 vertical transport sensor (PS113) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| Tray 3 paper feed sensor (PS112) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at tray 3 feed section. |

Paper feed sensor (PS132) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| Vertical transport sensor (PS133) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at LCT feed section or LCT vertical transport section. |

Paper feed sensor (PS132) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| Vertical transport sensor (PS133) is turned ON when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |

The sensor in front of tim. roller (PS1) is unblocked when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| The paper exit sensor (PS3) is unblocked when the main power switch is turned ON, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |
| In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at 2nd image transfer section. |
| Exit section |
The paper exit sensor (PS3) is blocked when the main power switch is unblocked, a door or cover is opened and closed, or a misfeed or malfunction is reset. |

| Duplex pre-registration section |
In case paper position is detected as locating properly after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at duplex pre-registration section. |
| Duplex transport section |
In case the ADU paper passage sensor/1 (PS40) is blocked or the ADU paper passage sensor/2 (PS41) is unblocked after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at duplex transport section. |
| In case the registration sensor (PS1) is unblocked after main power switch is turned ON, door and cover are opened / closed or jam/trouble reset is done, it is regarded as paper jam at duplex transport section. |
