Troubleshooting. Event log
Printing the event log might be helpful in the troubleshooting process. For more information, see the Interpret control-panel messages and event log entries section in the product troubleshooting manual.
Print or view the event log from the Administration menu
- From the Home screen on the product control panel, scroll to and touch the Administration button.
- Open the following menus:
• Troubleshooting
• Event Log - The event log displays on the screen. To print it, touch the Print button.
Print or view the event log from the Service menu
- From the Home screen on the product control panel, scroll to and touch the Device Maintenance button.
- Open the Service menu.
- On the sign-in screen, select the Service Access Code option from the drop-down list.
- Enter the following service access code for the product:
• 09063014 - Touch the Print Event Log or View Event Log item.
Clear the event log
- From the Home screen on the product control panel, scroll to and touch the Device Maintenance button.
- Open the Service menu.
- On the sign-in screen, select the Service Access Code option from the drop-down list.
- Enter the following service access code for the product:
• 09063014 - Select the Clear Event Log item, and then touch the OK button.
