Actions before Replacement

1. Execute the following service mode to output the spec report, and write down the serial number.
   • COPIER > FUNCTION > MISC-P > OUTPUT > SPEC
2. Print out the following User Data List.
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Output Reports] > [User Data List]
3. Write down the contents of service mode on a sheet of paper.

CAUTION:

This machine does not have functions to print out, backup and restore service mode. When replacing the Main Controller PCB, write down data of service mode on a sheet of paper. After replacing with a new Main Controller PCB, enter data.

Actions after Replacement

1. Enter the serial number (8 alpha-numerals), as identified before the replacement, into the following field in LUI.
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [System Management Settings] > [Device Information Settigs] > [Location]
2. Enter the serial number in the following service mode. • COPIER > OPTION > SERIAL > SN-MAIN
3. Turn OFF/ON the main power.
4. Set the Location from the following service mode. [Setting Value] JAPAN, USA, KOREA, CHINA, TAIWAN, EUROPE, ASIA
   • COPIER > OPTION > BODY > LOCALE
5. Clear all data in the following service mode.
   • COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR > ALL
6. Turn OFF/ON the main power.
7. Print out the Spec Report by the following service mode and check the serial number and Location.
   • COPIER > FUNCTION > MISC-P > OUTPUT > SPEC
8. Enter to the following locations based on the User Data List that was printed out before replacing the Main Controller PCB.
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Network Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Preferences]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Timer Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Common Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Copy Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Scan Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Printer Settings]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [Adjustment / Maintenance]
   • [Home] > [Menu] > [System Management Settings]
9. Enter data of service mode from before replacing the Main Controller PCB.
