  • Display: E071 error X residual electrical charge E083 error X2 residual electrical charge
  • Description: Overload condition in media feed motor (X-axis) during the printer operation.
  • Remedy: 1. Check error history from "Test: Record" of self-diagnosis function. 2. Set the number of endurance running cycles to 50 or more from "Life: PF motor" of selfdiagnosis function, and check if "PF motor error" occurs. Check the connection of following MAIN board assembly connectors. • PF motor relay assembly connector: J20 • PF encoder assembly connector: J12 3. Check "Encoder: PF" from "Test: Encoder" of selfdiagnosis function. If NG, check the connection of MAIN board assembly connector: J12. 4. Check if MAIN Power Board normally supplies DC24V. Replace the power board assembly if it is damaged. 5. PF motor may be defective. Replace PF motor. 6. MAIN board assembly may be defective. Replace MAIN board assembly.

  • Remedy: 1. PF motor may be malfunctioning. 2. MAIN board assembly may be mulfunctioning.
    1. Replace PF motor assembly. 2. Replace MAIN board assembly.
  • Code: E072
  • Display: E 072 error CR overcurrent E 074 error CR2 overcurrent
  • Description: Overload condition in CR motor (Yaxis) during printer operation. Abnormal condition occured. This is displayed when there is a big difference between the designated value by motor and the feedback value from encoder.
  • Remedy: 1. 1. Check error history from “Test 7: Record” of selfdiagnosis function. 2. Move carriage in both directions while the printer is turned off, and check if there is any position where carriage does not move smoothly. Clean and lubricate CR rail roller guide. 3. Set the number of endurance running cycles to 50 or more from "Life: CR motor" of selfdiagnosis function, and check if "Y residual electrical charge” or “Y2 residual electrical charge” error occurs. • Check the connection of following connectors. MAIN board: • CR motor relay assembly connector: J21 • CR_FFC connector: J9, J10, J11 CR board: • CR_FFC connector: J201, J202, J203 4. Check if T fence is contaminated or worn out. • If grease or dust collect: Wipe fence with a dry cloth. • If ink deposit presents: Wipe it off with cloth dampened with neutral detergent. • If contamination or deposit is too heavy: Replace T fence. 5. Check "Encoder: CR" from "Check: Test” -"Test: Encoder" of selfdiagnosis function. If NG: a) Check the following cable connection: • CR board assembly connector: J20. b) Replace the following parts: • T fence • CR motor assembly • CR board assembly • CR_FFC

  • Description: Abnormal condition in head_FFC or head thermistor.
  • Remedy: Head FFC may be malfunctioning. 1. Check the connection of head FFC. 2. Replace head FFC. 3. Replace print head.

  • Display: E 077 error H overheat
  • Description: Abnormal condition in head driver.
  • Remedy: MAIN board assembly may be damaged. Replace MAIN board assembly.
  • Code: E079
  • Display: E 079 error Communication
  • Description: Abnormal condition in the serial communicatio n between MAIN board and Controller board.
  • Remedy: 1. The communication cable may be malfunctioning. 2. Heater controller board may be malfunctioning. 3. F/W on Heater controller board maybe malfunctioning. 4. MAIN board assembly may be malfunctioning.
    1. Check the connection of the communication cable. 2. Replace the communication cable. 3. Replace Heater controller board. 4. Replace MAIN board assembly.
