Paper picks during POST and/or continuously
FRU | Action |
---|---|
Paper feed assembly Paper feed solenoid |
Check the pick mechanism for wear. The solenoid releases the shaft of the D-roll, allowing it to engage with a gear on the main drive. There is a step in the plastic part of the shaft that rests against the solenoid arm. This error occurs if the step is worn or damaged so the solenoid cannot stop the rotation. Replace the paper feed assembly if necessary. Make sure the spring on the solenoid is properly installed. If the spring is improperly installed or missing, the pick roller will continuously pick paper. Replace the solenoid as necessary. |
