Symptom

One or more white lines appear along the paper feed direction.

Cause 1

Dirty dust shield glass and/or clogged doctor gap.

Symptom in detail	1 or more lines of 0.1 to 1 mm width appear along the feed direction across the entire page.
Cause in detail	Toner, lubricant, etc. on the dust shield glass block the laser beam exposed on the drum.	Doctor gap is clogged with foreign substances/clumps of developer, disabling sufficient transport of developer to the development roller.
Solution	Clean the dust shield glass.	Clean the doctor blade / Replace the developer / Extend the fan operation time setting in the SP mode / Replace the development unit.

Cause 2

Foreign substance in the development unit.

Symptom in detail	1 or 2 lines of 0.1 to 0.5 mm width appear at approximately 5 to 10 mm from the leading edge.
Cause in detail	Image developed on the drum is scraped off by a foreign substance stuck between the development roller and the drum.
Solution	Remove the foreign substance.
