Adjustment after Replacement. Scanning Adjustment
• Check and perform the image position adjustment before you do the following scanner adjustments. (Refer to Image Position Adjustment)
• Use a C4 test chart to do the following adjustments.
Scanner leading edge and side-to-side registration
A: Leading Edge Registration
B: Side-to-side Registration
- Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations.
- Check the leading edge and side-to-side registration.
A: 4.2 ± 2mm
B: 2.0 ± 1mm - Adjust the following SP modes if necessary.

Scanner magnification
- Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations.
- Check the magnification ratio.
Standard:
• Normal mode for main-scan: ±0.55% or less
• Normal mode for sub-scan: ±1.00% or less
• Reduction mode for main-scan: ±1.00% or less
• Enlargement mode for main-scan: ±1.00% or less - Adjust with SP4-008 if necessary.
Scanner shading correction
- Turn the power OFF and then ON. The shading correction is executed automatically when the machine is rebooted.
