Description: CR load position driving time error The driving time of the motor exceeded the set time.
Causes: • CR Motor cable disconnection or contact failure • Main Board failure
Remedy: 1 Visually check the CR Motor cable. Check the CR Motor cable to make sure that there is no error (disconnection/ contact failure). Y: Go to step 2 N: • Correctly insert the motor cable. • Replace the CR Motor if the motor cable is disconnected. 2 Replace the Main Board Assy. Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board Assy? Y: Contact the EPSON Service Department. N: End
Code: 000031
Description: CR load position excess load error • State in which load of CR Motor exceeds expected load • When rotated in the opposite direction to rotation direction (There was a sudden load error, and the motor rotated in the opposite direction in reaction to it)
Causes: • Jammed paper or foreign object remained • CR Lock Lever failure (Inksystem Assy failure) • High sliding load (oil cutoff, paper dust, mist) • CR Scale is dirty or damaged. • Contact damage (contact failure)/disconnection/half insertion of CR Encoder FFC • CR Motor failure • Main Board failure
Remedy: 1 Visually check the CR scanning section Is there no paper jam paper and foreign object in the CR scanning section? Y: Go to step 2 N: Remove the jammed paper and foreign object. 2 Check the CR Lock Lever operation Does the CR Lock Lever operate correctly when the power is on? (Is the lowering operation performed correctly?) Y: Go to step 3 N: Replace the Inksystem Assy. 3 Check the status of the CR Guide Frame Is the CR Guide Frame dirty from paper dust or mist? Is a lubrication shortage occurring? Y: Go to step 4 N: Lubricate the CR Unit and CR Gudie Frame contacting point after cleaning. 4 Check the status of the CR Scale. Is the CR Scale dirty or damaged? Y: Go to step 5 N: • Clean, if dirty. • Replace the CR Scale in the case of damage. 5 Check the status of the CR Encoder FFC Check the CR Encoder FFC to make sure that it is not inserted obliquely or damaged. Y: Go to step 6 N: • Properly connect the CR Encoder FFC. • Replace the CR Encoder FFC (head FFC) in the case of damage. 6 Perform CR Motor operation check Does the CR Motor operate (rotate)? Y: Go to step 7 N: Replace the CR Motor. 7 Replace the Main Board Assy. Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board Assy? Y: Replace the Printer Mechanism. N: End
Code: 000032
Description: CR load position excess speed error State in which driven at unexpected speed (fast) for control.
Causes: • CR Timing Belt detached or broken • CR Motor failure • Main Board failure
Remedy: 1 Check the CR Timing Belt Is the timing belt detached or broken? Y: Replace the following parts in sequence. • CR Motor • Main Board Assy (If the trouble is not resolved, contact the EPSON Service Department.) N: • When the belt is detached, reattach it. • When the belt is broken, replace the CR Unit.

Causes: • Main Board failure
Remedy: 1 Replace the Main Board Assy. Does the error occur after replacing the Main Board Assy? Y: Contact the EPSON Service Department. N: End

Description: PF PID excess load error • State in which load of PF Motor exceeds expected load • When rotated in the opposite direction to rotation direction
Causes: • Jammed paper or foreign object remained • Feed rollers are worn out. • Gears locking due to foreign object • PF gear train parts damaged • Contact damage (contact failure)/disconnection/half insertion of PF Encoder FFC • PF Encoder failure • PF Scale failure • PF Motor failure • Main Board failure
Remedy: 1 Visually check the paper feed path. Is there no jammed paper or foreign object remaining in the paper feed path? Y: Go to step 2 N: Remove the jammed paper and foreign object. 2 Check the status of the feed rollers. Is the PF Roller or Paper Guide Upper Assy damaged or worn out? Y: Go to step 3 N: • Replace the Paper Guide Upper Assy. • Replace the Printer Mechanism if there are any scratches or wearout on the PF roller. 3 Visually check the PF gear train parts. Check the PF gear train parts to make sure that there is no foreign object on or damage to them. Y: Go to step 4 N: • Remove any foreign objects, if present. • Replace the Printer Mechanism if the gear is damaged. 4 Check the status of the PF Encoder and FFC Check the PF Encoder to make sure that it is not damaged, and there is no disconnection or contact failure in the FFC. Y: Go to step 5 N: • Replace the PF Encoder Board if parts are damaged. • Properly connect the FFC. • Replace the Printer Mechanism if the FFC is damaged. 5 Check the status of the PF Scale.
